Double check backflow assembly
The 950XL is a double-check assembly, not a 975XL reduced-pressure assembly. Zurn publishes separate kit prefixes for the 3/4–1 and 1 1/4–2 inch size bands.
Do not substitute 950XL3 or 975XL data. Confirm the body label and nominal size, then select the smallest repair scope supported by the confirmed failed component.

Standard, complete, rubber, seat, and cover kits solve different scopes; a visible cover leak does not establish an internal check failure.
Before return to service
A matching kit is not a passed assembly.
Stop for body damage. Cracks, distortion, severe corrosion, or freeze damage can move the job from internal service to replacement.
